One hundred seventeen new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, Mar. 16 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 5.4%, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Monday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1127, a drop of 54 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 50, an increase of 1.
There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,733 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 4%, hospitalizations were up 8% and there had been 14 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
